DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "950B", 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 6 positions and temperature damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, double roller, gold wheel train and whiplash micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel open face Model A case, with Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, black steel baton hands, serial #S2848, c1940
CONDITION: CASE: Shallow dents, back; Dings and small dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Long gouge inside case back from case screw; Gold filled with minor brassing; Bow loose; Crown worn. DIAL: Cracks in enamel, center, adjacent to seconds bit. HANDS: Specks of oxide, seconds. MOVEMENT PLATES: Numerous scratches on plate; Scratches on winding wheels; Winding wheels with a few specks of oxide; Bright work with scratches; Regulator assembly with a few spots of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
